Two suspected armed robbers, who specialise in snatching motorcycles, met
their Waterloo in Onitsha on Tuesday.The suspected hoodlums, who have
allegedly been terrorizing residents of Nkpor and its environs, Idemili North
Local Government Area, Anambra state, were set ablaze by angry mob.The
end came for the robbers when they attempted to rob a Northern trader at
gun-point. The trader who came to procure goods at the Nkpor New tyre
market was intercepted by the robbers at the road side under the watchful
eyes of residents.According to an eyewitness, the robbers operating on their
bike, stopped the trader along the Onitsha/Enugu expressway, close to the
market, and ordered him to hand over the money he was carrying in a bag to
them.
